Dan Ottney,
Executive Producer


Dan began his career at Cable Vision, Inc. In Mt. Pleasant, MI producing commercials for the emerging cable television advertising industry.  Within a year Dan was promoted to Manager of Advertising Production and Sales at Cable Vision and increased sales by 400% over 4 years.

At that time Dan was attending Central Michigan University as a full time Business Management/ Communications student. In addition to production, Dan Engineered, installed and maintained insertion equipment for maximum quality and results reporting.

Later, Dan accepted a position with Ad Systems, a commercial insertion equipment manufacturer and developed new technology for seamless integration of local commercials on national networks.  While there, Dan assembled custom commercial insertions systems and installed these systems in cable TV head ends around the country.

Returning to hands on production, Dan moved to Florida for a position with National Educational Video as the Vice President of Video Production.  Dan built and maintained a two-suite editing facility and a fully functional remote production company.  Dan produced, directed, shot and edited over 50 long format educational videos for national accreditation in the nursing field. Dan earned several Telly Awards for educational production during this time.

Dan later had an opportunity to join the team at Walt Disney World in the ESPN – Entertainment division.  While there, Dan produced exclusive sports content for the ESPN Club. Dan produced and edited show opens and packaging for live interviews with some of the world’s premiere professional athletes. Each year Dan shot and edited preseason packages for multiple Major League Baseball and National Football League teams, highlighting the upcoming season.

While at Disney, Dan was cross utilized at both the exclusive Disney I.D.E.A.S studio and Disney Event Productions on a variety of high-profile projects and worked with some of Disney’s most talented personnel and Disney “Imaginers.”  These projects included elements for Mercury Marine promotional and live productions.  Dan produced promotional content for worldwide distribution and launch of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.  And Dan created content for the Unmanned Vehicle Association of America and others, Cox Radio, the ESPN Club and other areas of the Disney family.

In early 2000, Dan returned to Naples, FL to produce a 13-week Adventure/Travel pilot series called Musca TV.  After hiring a full crew of camera operators, editors and support staff, Dan formatted, produced and directed a unique, fast paced program that showcases Florida’s most exciting activities and events. The program was highly rated by Neilson while airing on the WB network in Southwest Florida.

Growth continued and Dan accepted a position at CarMax, The Auto Super Store in Richmond VA.  As their Broadcast Producer, Dan managed the commercial production process from Concept to Completion, eventually bringing most Broadcast Advertising post-production and Internal communications production in-house. Promoted to Business Manager of Broadcast Advertising in 2008, Dan built a fully functional production facility that includes an insert stage, 3 editing suites, complete audio production facilities and graphics production. Dan was again promoted to Senior Manager of Video Services and was responsible for the design, installation and operation of a fully functional $2 million state of the art production studio which is operation to this day.

In 2023 Dan decided to return to his hometown of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Earning his FAA part 107 commercial drone license he began producing a variety of content for local community groups and civic organizations. In January of 2026 Dan opened 2C2 Media to expand his extensive production services to a wider customer base of customers/partners across the US.  Welcome to C2C!
